29 white + 29 black = 58.
Technically the number could be higher or lower depending on a few things. There's the one white stripe that doesn't go all the way around, which means that what would normally be two black stripes is now only one, and there's obviously a white stripe underneath the loop in the snake's tail, but you can't see it (if you look closely, it looks like you can, but if you look at the curve, it's actually the snake's belly. So I didn't count it.)
But, yeah. I'ma stop griping.
